Default Max Care Warranty

Hey Gang...I posted this on another thread and never got an answer, so I'm hoping someone will chime in this time.

I currently have no warranty but am thinking of getting the max coverage. Question though... is it safe to say that anything I do an aftermarket mod on will not be covered?

Example: I have a leveling kit not installed by the dealer, so now my front suspension would not be covered. Or if I wanted to do the cabin air filter mod. If I do that, my A/C system wouldn't be covered if the compressor goes out or something? Or if I add aftermarket fogs to the bumper and then my bumper falls off on the freeway.....

Thoughts...anyone.... thanks!

The individual dealer and even the technician will have a lot to do with this. Personally, I wouldn't try to void a warranty item without being able to show that a mod caused a problem.

IF your warranty, presumably the 3 year 36 month part has expired

it is a chore to get any warranty, someone has to fully inspect the vehicle & determine if it qualifies, any paperwork you have comes in handy too, like services & such

the company that made the leveling kit, should have their own warranty on that part

i don't believe that a CAI, Fog lights, cabin air filter is going to hurt your chances of getting a warranty

if your bumper falls off, no warranty is going to cover that in any case, they don't cover damage, that is why you have to have insurance

you need to do a quick read through this

here are some places that you should research through

GT, thank you for the info. I think I'm going to look into getting one. I don't plan on doing any major mods, so I think it will be worth it. Also, the warranty I was looking at was the Max Car from Chrysler. On their website I went all the way to the payment screen and it never said anything about an inspection. Maybe they sell it to me pending an inspection? Any how, thanks again!
