Default Anyone tow with a Superchips 3865?

I'm not looking for power increase but transmission control. T/H is pretty useless on the 2004 and I would like to have more control of when the truck shifts from 3rd to 4th, allowing 3rd to hold longer.
I've searched until I'm crosseyed and really haven't come up with an answer.
I'll be pushing my truck to it's limits on a few tows and although I know it's ok to hold 2nd and take it up into the power band, having and holding 3rd would be much better.

Let's just say it's the truck's maximum rated limits.

My truck is an 04,1500 QC 3.92's,and I have the Superchips flashpac 3865,I put it into towing mode, requires 91 octane, when towing.I pull a 24' enclosed trailor(dry weight 3,340) and the car @ 3,500 for a total of 6,840lbs,and if my memory serves me the trucks tow cap is 8,600.
No problems, and yes it does hold out the rpm's higher. Was that what you wanted to know??????

So tow mode requires 91. Ok. To approximately what rpm/mph does it hold 3rd? I'm wanting to hold 3rd to 60-65 mph. Does it allow for that? I can' t find specifics. Also if you use T/H does the truck revert to the stock programming? I read it does on one post.

Attached is what I towed. The truck pulled it fine - at 5.5 mpg - but the transmission went from 3rd to 3rd TCL to 4th and back again the whole time. Crazy shift points...

Holy cow, 5.5 mpg!? thats insane, I used tow/haul and pulled an 8k lb 16ft van trailer and managed 7. I got fed up with the 4-5-4 shifting and I though it would be better to run high in 4 than tear up the tranny and save a few bucks in gas.

Not to bring up a dead thread but if you get a Superchips 3865 and buy the $40 advanced transmission tuning you can adjust the shift points yourself. It also has manual adjustments for tow/haul mode as well. You should be able to program it to hold 3rd as long as you like.
