Soo the Diablo Predator is better?
I kinda like the idea of having a permanent mod where the Predator you plug and unplug..

I'm not sure that this programmer actually gets into the program or just fools the PCM that it's getting more fuel and air to make the power.

I know Edge units overfuel the diesels to make more power but not sure what approach they've taken here.

Either programmer (Edge & Predator) are semi-permanent mods..in other words they are installed until you decide to un-install them.

I know the graphs they show are just a representation but I really don't see that big of an improvement at the lower RPM's in either torque or HP. By comparison, here's my Predator before and after chart. Take a look at the gains in the lower RPM area. Let me tell ya, that really makes the truck feel a lot faster and responsive off the line and you'll notice it just keeps pulling, then slowly drops off as you approach the redline. I think that drop came as the operator was watching and didn't want to over rev so he got out of it slowly before redline. I'd also like to know what the Edge does to the air fuel ratio.

In any event, good luck with what you decide!

HP & torque measurements before and after install. Look at the lower end of the RPM scale. There are significant gains there:

Air Fuel ratio before and after. You'll notice as the engine begins to come up on RPM's, the stock A/F remains pretty static and at that 14.1 to 14.2 A/F ratio is pretty lean so the engine management system is gonna be backing off on timing, and I lost power. Look at the other A/F ratio curve. It starts dropping and keeps dropping as the engine demands more fuel. Most HEMI engines like 12.5 to 12.8 at WOT:

it's when it goes to open loop that it comes down to 12's and the pcm doesn't control it...that's why when you datalog, tuners also want to see the wot a/f's, that's when a wideband comes into play. you can ignore whatever the wideband shows during closed loop cuz the pcm is always gonna try and keep it stoich (14.7)...but, the fuel trims can be manipulated so the stoich is more efficient..

My friend has an edge programmer on his duramax, but there are a lot better programmers out there.
