25 litres? If thats the capacity, I'm glad I have oil changes for life.

When travelling 70-80KMH (45-50MPG) on a flat rd, I'm getting 25-28 MPG. Point being I'm getting better MPG, but Likely due to breaking in the Engine.
Ditto, I'm getting the same result, similar mileage. Vastly improved.

I must say I agree, the initial numbers seem low, and the new numbers seem more in par with what others have been getting. I am a huge synthetic advocate, but a 30% mpg increase is not caused by synthetic oil.

Yeah you will see a slight increase 1 or 2 MPG if that, but 5 or 6 thats not from the oil or that oil manufacture would be making that claim all day, that their oil gives you 5 or 6 MPG increase.

It has to be driving habit (more than likely because of the high price of gas you are watching how you drive more) and reseting the MPG on the EVIC, which I do often, by doing that you can skew the numbers.

I'm happy with the current MPG and it's not even close to being broke in yet (575kms)

Old truck 17.5 l / 100 kms averaged over ~5000k
New truck 14.5 l / 100kms averaged over ~500k

And I'm skeptical of the accuracy of OP's calculations

I've always been told that you should wait about 10K miles before switching to full syn to make sure the engine is fully broken in. What are everyone's thoughts?

I believe "they" say it's good to go one oil change and then on your second oil change you are good to go. You just "don't" want to do it on the first one but any thing after that is all good. Keep in mind you cannot compare a car that shipped with full syn from factory to a car that didn't come with full syn from the factory.
