Today, I got my tuck to start with the stock remote start from well over a hundred feet away. It seems to work from a farther distance if you wait about 1.5 or 2 seconds between the first and second press of the remote start buttom on the key fob. I have to be pretty close to get it to start if I press the start button twice in rapid succession.
If you are having trouble with your key fob (opening all doors or whatever) you may be pressing the buttons to fast. Try it slower and see if it works better.
I just now started the truck from from 73 yards away (shot it with my range finder).
I guess this may be the trick.
