I definitely agree with brad when it comes to the entrainment value of this thread. One thing I don't quite understand though is all this talk about the technology. Has nobody ever seen a production turbo vehicle before? This isn't even the first turbo truck, and i'm not even talking about diesels. Ok so maybe the gmc cyclone wasn't exactly designed for towing or hauling, but it was a damn fast turbo truck. I'm not even necessarily sure that the ecoboost is the answer to fuel economy in half ton trucks; unless one mile per gallon or so is all it takes to make it the almighty fuel saver. In the end it is a half ton truck, and this will not be the last half ton truck to roll out with new/old/revamped technology.

I think you can rule out the fuel economy edge with this tune, lol! I would think acheiving any decent fuel milage would be done under normal driving conditions only. Not that any hot rodder would care, but the more boost the more turbo lag and more fuel consumtion not to mention...more heat

I had a factory turbo car 4 years ago. Once tuned, it got better fuel millage on normal day driving and the car was 1.2 seconds faster on the 1/4 mile. Can't ask for anything better then that. Low cost power (tuned + turboback + CAI) and good fuel economy.

More boost doesn't equal more lag. Lag come from the turbo size, piping lenght, ... My car came stock with 13 or 14 psi and once tuned it was pushing 18psi and beleive me, there was no lag. I have more ''lag'' in my Hemi then i had with that car.

That's your opinion where lag comes from but that's what up pipes are for and it's your hemi with the lag, not mine. As far as the EB is concerned, it's got more lag than my truck and that's all that matters to me.

I know what the tune consist of...I can read. I suggest you do some reading yourself in google "turbo" engine search for turbo up pipes and while you're at it look up what the purpose of a boost controler is. As far as my truck being better than everyone elses, I wasn't aware that everyone on this forum had an eco boost, lol! I will say one thing, my truck is better than the two you've been rambling on and bragging about buying...because yours are only pipe dreams with turbo lag, lol! EDIT: I just thought of something that may help get the wheels spinning a little quicker in your dreams! Try installing a tunner up pipe in your mouth and a tunner down pipe in your but along with a manual boost controller/pace maker in your brain and see if that helps, lol!

I had a turbo car before the truck, a 2011 genesis coupe 2.0T and I currently have one, a 98 eclipse gst. And I know what a boost controller does, I have one on my eclipse. You do think your truck is better, you think it's better than a outdoorsman and a laramie longhorn. I think not. And you do know turbo lag is pretty much nonexistent in factory cars right? You obviously know nothing about turbos because if you did you would know that turbos usually make more power than superchargers at the same boost levels and that there are many cars out there making 800 rwhp+ with no turbo lag

Yupp same story with my buddy. I had a 2011 genesis coupe 2.0T and he still has his 2010 genesis coupe 2.0T. Only difference is mine was auto and his was manual. After cai, tune, and exhaust(cat back I think) he was running 14.5 to my 15.3-15.5. And he got better gas mileage than me after the mods. I was averaging like 18 city and he was getting around 20 or 21

Mine was a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT, with the 2.5L turbo flat 4.

All i had in it, was a up pipe, down pipe, catback all from Lachute Performance. A K&N short ram intake and a stage 2 tuned from Cobbs. The car went from 14.2@98mph to 13@104.3mph on the 1/4 mile.0-60 in 4.5 seconds and 0-100mph in 12.3 seconds. The car was a good sleeper Even had a trailer hitch on it, hahaha.

On the highway i was getting 33.5mpg to 34.5mpg and stock was 29.4mpg. In the city the worse i got was 17mpg and stock was the same. With the pedal all the way to the floor, my on dash computer showed me 4.7mpg hahaha.

I sure miss that car.Damn would it be fast if i would of kept it... I was getting info on what i needed to get it to 450awhp or 500awhp. (Crawford Racing engine...)
