Default New 34.5 BFG's (pics!)

So after trying some 305/55/20 Trail Grapplers a while back and not being happy, I decided to go with some 285/65/20 BFG AT KO's; and they look awesome! I was a little worried they might look too narrow from pictures I had seen, but in real life they look amazing. Completely changed how the truck looks. They are on stock 20x9 rims, and there is no rubbing at all. Plus they don't stick out too far which is good bc I don't have flares, but they do stick out enough to make it look more aggressive. I'm very happy with this upgrade.

Those look great. I like the agressive tread. Do they make much tire noise?

No, I would say the noise is virtually zero over stock. Maybe a little hum at higher speeds, but I asked the girlfriend and she said she didn't hear a thing. So I'd say ride quality is great, no wonder people love these tires.

Well, I LOVE how the Trail Grapplers look first off. And noise wise I could handle it. I did not like the rubbing, but that is due to size not the tire. They are a very heavy tire (almost 80 lbs/tire for the 305/55) and they made the truck very sluggish and slow feeling- I have 3.55 gears so that made a difference. The MDS went crazy with them on too. It would try to kick in going down a hill or when it normally would and it couldn't handle it. So my gas mileage really took a dive. So overall it changed how the truck drove and handled so much I just wasn't happy.
I hear great things about that tire so I feel it just wasn't suited to what I was looking for. I think you would want a lower gearing like at least 3.92's with that size and it would change things.
Also, since I have the 2.5 level up front and 1.5 in the rear it didn't fill the wheel gap as much as I would have liked and give it the stance I ultimately wanted.
This is all a personal preference, but hope this helped.
