Not sure on your year truck...sorry. Mine was pretty easy. I just uses a small screwdriver (and cushioned the surround area with a rag), lifted the top edge of the emblem and introduced a bit of 3M adhesive remover around the edge. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and then used a hair dryer to warm things up. The emblem peeled right off.

It has clips it might be easier to get to if you remove the front grill. It takes me like less and 5 mins to remove it with the right extensions.

I believe the 4th gens are held on there with clips instead of adhesive.
