Default Subwoofer Upgrade??

Love the stock audio with the exception of the factory sub...UGH! so weak! I was wondering if anyone had upgraded just the Sub and if so, what recommendations would you have?

Right now I not looking at major upgrade, just a better sub that works with the factory enclosure and amplification...

Thanks!

What I have found is that the sub amp is the weakest link in the system. But if you want to do just the spkr, Kicker, MTX or JL would be my choices for a good mid-priced sub. Even so, I still suspect you won't like it until you do something with the stock amp.

Well...I do have a JL W7 and JL 1000:1 amp, but the space requirements for that sub are just too much for a reg cab truck....I'd LOVE to have that in it! damn damn damn

I do not remember what size is in your truck from factory, assuming it is a 10"? If so, I would look into these. Very good sub, especially for the money.

I think if you had a W7 in your truck it wouldn't matter what you'd have for normal speakers......you'd never hear them! I'll try and dig a little for you and see if I can find anything worth while for ya.
