I am just curious as I noticed your truck does not seem to squat much with the boat you are pulling, does your truck have the coil springs? Have you done anything to the suspension? I recently purchased my truck and it is terrible with my bumper pull 3 horse slant trailer! At most, and it sooooo not safe, I can haul 2 horses in it and wouldn't dare try 3. We just put a weight distribution hitch on it and it helps but it still doesn't pull well. Any help would be appreciated!

How much tongue weight are you looking at with that trailer? If your truck still squats after the weight distribution hitch there are couple of avenues you can take. One being an airbag system, something like the airlift 1000, very straight forward to add or you can opt for a rubber spring system like the timbren, the difference being you have more adjustability with the airbags, but run the risk of potential airbag failure or airleaks in the lines, vs the no hassle rubber spring from timbren with no maintenance required but lack the fine tuning or adjustability. Both that I can tell are very effective. Just keep your payload limit of your truck in mind!

The truck that you see in the picture was my 04 3/4T 4x4 diesel. It had leaf springs with overloads. The trailer and boat weighted about 10.5K depending on fuel and other crap the "boss" put into the boat. I don't remember the tongue weight.

Man oh man, just bought a 2011 Jayco Swift 26' BH travel trailer! I'm gonna pick it up on the 26th or the 27th of this month, traded in the 10' tent trailer for it. I'm dam near as excited as when I bought my truck. It's sure gonna change my view on camping. Here it is.599_DSC03368[1].jpg
