Default So torn on exhaust

Background: I used to have a 2003 F-150 Supercrew w/ a 5.4. I had a Flowmaster SIDO system put on it. I loved the sound, but only wished it had been louder. That system lasted two years due to the new crap they put on the roads for snow. The whole back rotted off because it was aluminum.

I now have a 2011 1500 Outdoorsman Crewcab. I'm so undecided on exhaust, I'm actually driving myself crazy, lol. I have read about every exhaust post in these forums as well as listened to tons of Youtube videos.

From what I understand, Flowmaster only makes the 40 series in aluminum. That isn't an option as I'm not going to cut off a factory stainless system to replace it w/ an aluminum one. If someone knows of a stainless 40 series, please do let me know.

So I guess that leaves me looking at the Magnaflow or the Mufflex (either will be the 14 series). The videos on line aren't very helpful since the quality of the sound is dependent on the video camera used.

I guess right now my main question is this. If I go w/ the Mufflex kit and keep it SISO, tailpipe exiting where the stock one does, will the truck be quieter than if I ran SIDO with the pipes coming out below the back bumper? <------- Biggest concern

I also have what I believe everyone is referring to as the resonator that is in front of the muffler (engine side of the muffler). If I go with Mufflex, does this stay installed, or does the kit allow you to remove it? And which one would I want to do?

I'm not really interested in the Borla or the Cherrybomb. The guy that did my last system is a great pipe bender, but he only sells aluminum systems. There's only a couple other guys near me, and they are hackers. So, I believe I'm limited on possibilities. I don't know if the "Midas" type places do custom work. FWIW, because it's an Outdoorsman, I don't have the cut outs in my bumper like the Bighorn package does.

Sorry this is so long, but I need help...please....for my sanity, lmao.....

The single in single out should sound the same, I would just buy the Mufflex 14" and bolt it in yourself...sucks there are no good shops around you! I got a 18" welded in, it's awesome! and it only cost a total of 250 bucks with a new Y-pipe!
