Default Performance mods w/stock trany

I have read a lot about performance mods and plan on doing some myself. However, I know your system is only as good as its weakest link. So my question. How does a stock transmission hold out with all these performance mods? I don't want to beef up my Hemi just to blow out my trany. Second question - I have read about using headers w/high flow cats and then Y it into a single muffler and back out into two tail pipes 2-1-2. When going header and new cats why not change it to a true duel system?

Each truck and tranny responds differently but keeping out of OD gears when going WOT will help. Also avoid your 2nd prime downshifts when possible (downshifting from 65mph etc)

If you want to look at tranny upgrades check out sharadon performance. Here's the website. http://www.sharadon.com/

you can do a true dual but I think you'll lose some torque with only a couple of hp gain.

unless you plan on doin forced induction (or stroker), the stock tranny can pretty much take whatever your gonna throw at it... and like kay9 says, don't downshift hard frequently at freeway speeds and use 2nd prime alot... you can do true duals but you want to make sure you do some heavy duty mods to take advantage of it (like heads and cam), otherwise, you'll sacrifice low end performance...

My 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie is built and on the way. Can't wait to get it. I will be adding a tuner, exhaust and CAI. Does anyone know if there is a tuner available for the 2011 trucks or when they might be available?

Or you could take a look at the Sonnax Line Pressure Booster. Airram.com offers them for a fair price.

Unless you are talking about going 550+ HP/600+ lb ft torque I would not worry about your transmission.

Being a Chevy man in the past I was worried about how the Dodge trany would hold up. Sounds like you guys have had good luck with them.
