Default Squeaking front suspension, turning and bumps

About 3 weeks ago I noticed a slight squeaking coming from the front suspension when hitting bumps, now its a constant thing, every little bump AND it sounds like an old creeky door opening when I turn the wheels, whether moving or stopped, any time I turn the wheels it makes the same exact creeking squeaking sound as when I hit bumps.

Last weekend I got under the front end and lubed every joint, knuckle, mount in the suspension I could but to no avail, it didnt help whatsoever.

Any ideas what the heck this could be?

Well Lockard191, I logged on to this site to ask that exact same question. I have an 02 Ram 4x4 which is making the exact noise you speak of. I think the noise is coming from MY lower ball joint on the drivers side. And from what information I have gathered... those are of sealed-type, therefore they cannot be lubricated and should be replaced.

The sound is heard when turning the wheel either way and can almost always be heard with minimal suspension movement.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

if you replace it, get one with a Zerk fitting

on my last truck, i got rid of all the sealed joints that came from the factory
everything that i replaced went in with zerks & if it was a part that i was told should have more adjustment, like castor & camber, it was installed with a high quality part

it seems that the factory puts on the cheapest parts to keep the trucks cost down when it is new
