I was in During the Gov shut down while Clinton was Pres, I am still in, we still got paid, it was seemless. I would not worry to much. There is Always A.E.S. if you get a no pay due.

They have never frozen military pay during a gov't shut down. Obviously the rear echelon mofo's don't want the muzzles pointed in their direction.

And in all practicality, not paying the military tends to compromise the mission.

Other essential or non-essential services are not so fortunate in times like these. But since all I seem to get through USPS is junk mail that continues to raise my taxes, I don't care if USPS shuts down for a while.
