Default 2010 Ram will not shut off?

My 2010 Ram will not shut off by turning the key to the off position. I have to pull the key out for it to shut off.
Has anybody seen this? It's under warranty but I was wondering if there is a quick fix.
Thanks

Never seen this problem but I would suspect a faulty WIN module.

Wow...this is not your normal every day problem. I've heard of people having trouble starting....but never shutting off. Definitely a job for the service department. keep us posted as to what they find.

Hahahaha

I have no clue what's wrong, but I would bring it in and get it checked out.

Just to be clear;

When you say it won't shut off do you mean that the engine is still running with the key in the off position?

The engine should stop running but the radio, etc will still play until the key is removed.

My 2011 just began doing the same thing. Key is turned off, removed from ignition, and the engine keeps running. It will turn off if I reinsert the key, turn to 'on' and return to 'off'. What did they do to fix yours?

Default Any Updates???

Hi Guys! I'm new to the forum, but just last night had my 2009 Ram have the same situation. Put it in park, turn the key off, pull from the ignition, truck keeps running. What did the solution end up being for you guys? I had to pull the wiring harness from the ignition module to get the truck to shut down

Thanks so much for your help.

THAT sounds like an ignition switch.

You guys all have several potential issues... my truck is 9,000 miles away, so bear with me.

-Bad ignition switch is a possibility.
-Key may have partially dropped its programming.
-if your battery in your key is going dead, but not dead yet, it will do this. I replaced my battery and my problem stopped.
-certain fuses and relays being bad will cause this also.

gives you a place to start anyway.
