Default Another CAI question...(aFe this time)

So I'm looking for a CAI for my '07 4.7, and I've narrowed it down to the K&N set up or an aFe Stage 2. I've used K&N stuff on past vehicles, and know a few of you on here are running this kit from searching the threads. But I can't find anyone who's running the aFe set-up, so how 'bout it? Anyone running an aFe stage 2, and what're your thoughts on it? I know everyone runs something different, and everyone's biased towards their respective kits, but any input ya'll can give me before dropping my $$$'s down would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello not really a whole lot of input about your truck but I just put a aFe stage 2 on my 2011 hemi sport and it is pretty NICE! It has a nice growl when you get on it and I will say I can feel the power difference. I am pleased with the quality I do wish the filter was a little larger like the mopar one for my truck but all in all I would say for the price it was a good bang for the buck. Would buy again.

I have an AFE Stage 2 on my truck and really like it.

Good quality, fit well, easy to install, improved throttle response and the Butt Dyno sez I got a Gazillion HP outta the mod.

I've used AFE products before, namely two diesel pickups, and I have never had a problem with them.

I think AFE filters are better than K&N.......K&N has good flow but is pretty bad at stopping dirt and smaller particles! I am going to get the AFE dry filter...great flow and way better dirt protection than K&N.

That's what I went with the aFe stage 2 with the dry filter. It is great and it is supposed to filter better than the oiled filter. But I don't think it is reusable after a 100000 miles. But that is plenty long enuff for me. I like the extra performance and the better filtering.

There are tests run on how well they can store dirt and the size of dirt that gets through.

Just to clarify - the K&N set-up for a 5.7 motor will not fit correctly on a 4.7 motor, right? I see one on CL is why I'm asking - thanks.
