Default Sport hood grille's "what i did"

I love my hood i just hate the fake grille's. So i did something about it last weekend i toke them off cut the back off of them and molded on a new aluminum mesh and then painted it black. Also i cant speak for all the other Ram's out there but my truck "Can Tow" I had about 5,000 lbs behind it and my truck didn't even break a sweat. I have the 3.92 gears if anyone was wondering.

Nice mod, clean, it reminds me of when I cut the back out of my 79 T/A shaker scoop.

What do you think goes through your grille? It would be fairly minimal though.

Just a heads up... did the same thing on my 2010 Challenger before I found out I could order replacement pieces and the amount of wind/air/drag that came through the hood without being directed almost seemed to buckle the sheet metal. I know they make rubber boots for the Challengers that flow from the hood scoops directly to the engine bay versus flooding the hollow hood and they might be re-applicable to your sport hood... then again maybe I was just going too fast in my Mopar!
