Default Leveling questions....

Hey guys...

I have a 04 QC 1500 4x4, i wanted to level out the front end but dont really know much about it or anybody in the area that has done it.

I've seen people mention torson keys, and spacers. Whats the differance? Whats easier to do? What is better in the long run for the truck?

Thanks...

More than likely you have a IFS front end you will have to use the torsion keys to level out the front end. They are not to bad to install, had a Dakota that I lifted and it was the same.

You have a truck with torsion bars up front. That means you need to turn the keys to lift the front end. I bet those are the only spacers you will find for your truck....this is because it is wrong haha. Your truck does not have front coils to put the spacer onto. So you can just turn your torsion bars up to lift it. You should not turn them past a 2-2.5" lift or else you will compromise your ride quality.

You need to read info on your year truck man. The Bilsteins are only for 06+ Rams since they have coils in the front. You truck does not have this, the years would be 03-05 for your suspension needs. The Hell Bent Steel as with all other spacers will NOT fit your truck as well. I know your just learning and all but I want to make sure you dont buy something and have it not work on your truck. So like I said above go to that shop and get them to turn the keys a but more until the truck is sitting a little more level.

Good luck with everything man! If you need any help let me know I dont mind lending a hand

Ok Thanks,

Now when you say to not raise it more than 2-2.5" with the torsion keys, what is that measured from( if that makes any sense) the top of the tire to the body, or is there a common area underneith?

Is there any others options for this, or are the keys it. And would it just be a better idea to do a lift kit? If raiseing it with the keys could compromise the ride (i've heard things could break to from to much pressure to) does it make more sense to do the lift kit if that would make everything safer and more derable. And would a lift kit also level it out?

Thanks

has anybody tried these, these seem to be some of the best i found or is it overkill?
