Question 2/3" Ground Force Levelling Drop?

Hey guys, my lowering/levelling experience is zero, so I could use some wisdom. I have a new `11 Ram 1500 ST, 2WD, short bed, regular cab, Hemi w/3:55 gears. It is my daily "hot rod" driver with the emphasis on "hot" for all forthcoming mods. My objective is mild lowering to level for better handling. I understand that Ground Forces' rear-only 2" drop kit (coils/shocks) won't cause any problems but how about their 2/3" front/rear drop-to-level kit? I plan to switch the factory 17 X 7 steel wheels for 18 X 9 Centerline forged alloy rims w/285/60R18 performance tires soon. I don't want any rubbing (empty or loaded), front wheel alignment problems, funky steering, etc. Your input please (I read everything I could find on the forum about the GF 2/3 kit but most posts were about 4X4's). Thanks!

Question

50 views without a reply? In my newbie "Introduction" thread, members told me about the vast Ram truck knowledge residing at this forum. Where is it hiding...?

Thanks for the information. I'll probably go with a GF 2/3" drop.

New here WarBaby so I'm not up to speed. I'm now waiting for delivery of my 2011 Reg Cab short bed but have already decided to drop it to fill the wheel wells. It'll have 20's but I'm sure it will put up with a mild drop. If you go ahead and use the GF 2"/3" drop kit please post some side view before and after pics as I'd like to check it out. Also wondering about your exhaust. I was planning a stainless dual catback and since I've always liked FlowMaster I figured to go that route until I found they don't make system for the Hemi SLT single pipers, only the factory dual setup..go figure.

I'll post pics when I get it done. My exhaust is just a 14" Magnaflow with custom duals from the muffler back. The small 14" can sounds very uhhhh...authoratative!

I have the ground force 2/3 on my 2011 2WD regular cab r/t with 22" rims.
Very pleased with it. Complete kit with shocks. Rides a little stiffer and handles better. Also much easier to get in and out of the truck!

I did BellTech 2/4 drop and love it! No addition camber kits necessary and cost is far less than other kits. Total kit with performance shocks was 420 delivered. Alignment 90 at dealer (I am silly about having it all done at the dealer to keep any warranty within code), no notching or cutting in frame. Very satisfied.
