I won't get as many MPG as gas but once it's tuned I'm expecting a loss of only 5-10% which is a huge difference seeing how it's almost a dollar more for 91 octane over here in the Bay Area

I'm gonna take it slow, and collaborate with my mechanic to find a sweet spot, might take a tank or two to get the ratio right, but believe me I'll get it done

If I can bring the dead back to life, I can get this E85 air/fuel ratio good enough to share with the good people of our forum so that it's an option worth looking at. Just give me a month or so of testing

I am looking forward to the results. As I stated earlier, those here that have tried it, have been very disappointed, so it would be nice to hear something on the positive side. My own personal experience was a long time ago.....before E85.....I ran pure ethanol....what a PITA! The first month, all I did was fix leaks caused by the ethanol eating every gasket and hose in the fuel system. After getting that all sorted out, I couldn't go anywhere.....only had a 21gal tank, and at 4mpg, had to get the fuel tanker to follow me.
It was an experiment.....costly, but fun and very educational.

I'll say hahaha!! I think this E85 thing as complicated as it is, can be a good thing if done right. Or maybe it will be a huge waste of time, research, and money. Either way it's another mod down and that's what really counts. Why have it stock when it's so much funner changing everything from the ground up

One thing for sure....your going into this with the right attitude .
A mods, a mod. Not every one is successful, but you learn form every one....and I have officially subscribed to this thread....so I can learn from your mod.

This is one of the reasons I really like the Z!

I really hope this turns out great......cuz then we can talk 'Super Charger'

That's why we are here to do what others won't and help others through our experiences. Good or Bad. And actually in the next two years I'm gonna be talking "Twin Turbo"...From the ground up, leave nothing stock and have fun doing it
