You and me both, I can't stop thinking about it...I'd call it an obsession but I think calling it a passion sounds better psychologically. Just have to be patient

There is fine line between genius and crazy, so I have to agree....Passion is the 'correct' word.

What conversion kit did you have to buy? Asking because I know several people who run E-85 in their cars and did not have to buy a kit for the "conversion" I will also be running it in my Corvette, but only for the performance it nets, which is similar to a race fuel. It might be cheaper than pump, but I will be burning around 20-30% more fuel with the setup in my Vette once I make the switch.

There is lots of information about E-85, some good and lots of false information as well.

I'm getting the full flex FFI Platinum conversion kit from change2E85.com, it's not cheap, but neither is fuel...And it has cold start technology

I have an 08 QC 4.7 Flex and just started using E85 and going back to regular 87 octane, because I went from around 14MPG to 9MPG and it seems like I am filling up every other day. Our gas price as of today here in michigan are $3.85 per gal for 87 octane and I have been paying $2.99 for E85 but filling up way more often which seems to add up to more in the long run. Is there a need to have my air/fuel adjusted even though mine is already FLEX equiped?

I'm not totally sure how the flex equipped vehicles work, but I would assume that your computer has a fixed air/fuel ratio. So no matter gas or E85 the ratio is fixed which means you will burn E85 much faster than gas. I would call and ask Dodge if it changes depending on which gas is being used. If they say it's a fixed ratio look on the internet to find a shop that dyno tunes and if you have a tuner that is able to adjust your air/fuel ratio pay for an hour or so of time on the dyno getting it tuned for E85 on your performance setting. Then you can always go back to stock by saving it in your programmer to use gas when needed. This is what I'm gonna do

And I just got my E85 "conversion kit" today from change2E85.com. Got here over night on regular USPS which was pretty cool...filled up on my first 50/50 mix of gas/E85, put my trip A "0" so we will see how many miles I get? Then a full tank of E85 and see how that one does. Already feel better throttle response. Took me almost 45min to get it hooked up because I had to take out my CAI and disconnect my throttle body to get to the rear injectors...but it's a simple precedure...Says to let it run for a while after the first full tank of E85 to do any mods to it so the computer can learn how it works with the truck. Then it's tuning time!

I can see where burning a couple of tanks of E85 before tuning would be beneficial. That way the system is pretty much pure, and the computer has pretty much stabilized.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
