Default Air Lift 1000 install.

I was wondering if I need a wheel alignment after I install rear coil helper air bags? I will be taking the coil out to install these due to the large spacer. Thanks in advance!

I installed these, didn't need to remove anything other than the tire and wheel....Have not had any alignment issues....I have a 2 inch Daystar front & rear lift kit installed, but I did get an alignment after putting in my lift kit however.......The air bags go in easy if you follow the instructions....whole job took about an hour...good luck

The spacer for the top of the air bag is 2.5" tall, how did you fit it between your coils?

The spacer that came with my Air Lift 1000, kit, as I recall was only about an inch to an inch and a half or thick, it slipped right when the coils were extended from the rear end not having any weight on it.... You may want to verify that you got the right kit, or that they put the right spacers in your kit... Mine was for a 2009 Ram 1500 Laramie 4X4 Crew Cab... And was an easy install...

I have 60818 but haven't installed it yet and my spacers are also about 2-2.5 inches. maybe a call to Airlift is in order to figure this out. I'll be pretty upset if I rip the rear coils out only to find they sent my the wrong kit.

hey weaveman, is there any space between the spacer and the truck bed when it's empty.

Hey guys, first I'm sorry that I don't remember the exact thickness of the spacers that were in my kit... Second, I have a DayStar front & Rear lift kit installed. Third, there is a factory upper spring retainer, so the airlift spacer goes up and touches that piece, not the bed... Again with the weight off the rear end, and the springs extended, the spacers that came in my kit easily slipped in thru the spring onto the top of the air bags...once inflated the bags hold them in place... I keep about 12psi in them normally... I also put alittle bit of o-ring lube onto the line fittings to improve the sealing and ease the installation of the air lines onto the fittings... I've so far not had any leaks... I'd like to help more, but don't know what else to say, I can't get to my spacers anymore to see or measure them... Sorry

thanks for the clarification. I forgot about the spring retainer. I'll take a closer when I go to install them.
