Default 2010 Ram Shock Question

I have a 2010 Ram 4x2 with a ReadyLift 2 inch leveling kit on the front end. I was looking for some insight on shock replacement, nothing is wrong with the stock ones, I'm just considering on upgrading to a more of a performance shock. Any suggestions on brands, travel length for the front end etc. Thanks.

I'd check Bilstein. I'd call them--not a dealer but Bilstein themselves and ask. I know they have shocks for 4 wheel drive that will work on a truck that has been leveled 2" but not sure about 2 wheel drive.

Your leveling kit will make no difference from stock. Meaning there are not special 'longer' shocks needed. Your stock shocks are basically crap as they do not have the full travel they should, so this would be the only example of needing a different shock. If you were to go over a big speed bump, kinda-fast, with your leveling kit & those stock shocks, you would feel the system fully extend to the point where the stock shock actually limit the travel of the suspension. Not good. Just about EVERY replacement shock out there will eliminate this deficiency. Recommended brands? Many, as most will be far superior to what you have now: Bilstein, Monroe Reflex, Rancho RSX or 9000xd, Rubicon Express monotube, Pro Comp, Edelbrock Performer IAS...
