Default First Tow With The Ram

Well, I finally put my Ram under its first load this past weekend. I was doing some work around the yard and rented a machine to remove some tree stumps and prepare the ground for my boys new swingset.

It was a small Bobcat about 5000 lbs and at least 1300lbs of stumps in the back... The truck didnt even realize there was a load on her. Hardly any sag and I didnt even inflate her air bags...

Anyway... Was surprised at how effortless it was...

Here are some photos

With the model truck you have I bet you can easily pull your neighbors boat away.

I believe my truck is rated for 12000 lbs. My father in law has a 27' Mako that I will be towing alot this summer so it should be interesting. His suburban has helper springs and looks like it is going to keel over every time he pulls it with that...

Getting ready to purchase a camping trailer, we'll see how my RAM handles it.

I dont mean to burst your bubble but I have a Case 60XT and its around 5k with a breaker. I would say the one thats on the trailer is less than 3k lbs with a standard bucket(more for an auger or heavy attachment).

Bobcats 3k lb machine is only 3ft wide and judging by the width of that trailer (plus you only need a single axle for a S70) it looks like a S100 to me. 4000 lb operating weight plus the weight of the trailer, probably another 1500 lbs, puts him right around 5k lbs, with which ever machine it was

It is an S100... I rent them alot... The reason why I went with the tiny guy is so it can fit through the fence at my father in laws and when I use it at my house it doesnt destroy the grass. I cant fit in an S70 lol...

Dumped the load today and it was 1370 lbs in the back of the truck. Lots of sod scraps... plus to big stumps... Gotta love the Loadhandler

Best money I ever spent...

Either way, cant wait to tow the Mako...

Thought so, I spend alot of time starring at them between school and my internship.
I wish we still had a smaller one for that reason. Used to have a S185 that fit in the barn which made cleaning stalls a breeze with a flat bucket. We have a Mustang MTL20 now and it makes you miss the littler one sometimes haha
