Default Twin headlight question? Please help.

I recently changed my head lights to sonar projector headlights. This headlight set up changes the single factoy bulb to a low beam projector H1 (HID) and a seperate H1 high beam. The problem I have is that when I switch to high from low the ballast has to start warming up and there is a period of low visibility driving. Roughly about 2-3 seconds worth. Is there a way to make the low beams come on when the high beams are on? That way the ballast never shuts off between high and low. I use my high beams driving down country back roads and the ballast will completely cool down before I will encounter another car for the most part. I have a 04.5 2500. Thank you.

Yes there is a way to setup a jumper in your fuse box. I am unsure being's I don't have your wiring diagram.

Is the high beam bulb also HID? They do need to warm up and it takes a few seconds so that's why I don't use them in the high beams.

The high beams are standard H1 bulbs for now. The high beam warm up wouldn't be much of a problem because the low beams would stay on the whole time. Hence th need for a solution because I would like to have HID Highs too.

There is a company from Edmonton Alberta called beamershids.com that sells a special wiring harness kit just for situations like yours. I installed it on a customers truck that switched from the dual headlights to the quads. I also installed HID kits on the low and high beams. This harness kit will solve all flickering issues as well as allowing the high and low beams to stay on together. Give them a call and tell them your situation. They will hook you up.
