Default hard to get key out of ign.

so in order to get the key out or in you have to pull up on the shifter that and the gear selector on the dash doesnt line up, is there a way to adjust any of this?

I don't think there is, most likely you will have to replace the column shifter.

i think its only a simple adjustment
sensor doesn't think its all the way in the park position

I believe you can adjust the shifter linkage to get things to line up.

Try a new key. Mine does that sometimes with the old key.

sounds like the shifter linkage is out of whack, have someone to get in the truck and puch the gear selector up into park while you get under and loosen the nut on the bracket at the transmission, the rod will slide a little if out of whack into the correct position on its own as the shifter is being pushed on, tighten the nut back and check to see if it corrected it. It can get knocked out of whack if something on the road hits the rods as well as off roading due to the had jarring, also slamming it into park when mad as well as forcing it out of park on hills. Had several cars do this to me in the past. Hope this helps.
