Default 2011 Ram 2500 Headliner RUINED!!!!

Not a happy camper today. Dropped off my brand new 2500 laramie yesterday at a local audio/video install shop. Had them install an Alpine PKG RSE2 rear dvd player with 10.2" moniter. Got a good deal of $700 installed. Much cheaper then the factory dodge with a smaller screen and lesser quality. Talked with the shop owner in the morning and showed him where i wanted the screen to be when it is folded down. we even put a post it note with a push pin to mark the spot. Well i go to pick it up last nite at 5pm when it was promised to be done, didnt get finished to 6:30!! I was tired after working all day, and having to walk to pick up my truck, and the waiting around for them to finish it. So i didnt notice the screen location, till my wife get in the truck that nite and hits her head on it while sitting in the middle seat( i have the bench seat, no console) WTF!! now i cant use the middle seat, and to move it back to where i wanted it, there will be a big hole in the headliner. I am going there today to make them fix it. Called the dealer and found out they can have a new headliner in 8-10 days for $927.00. Anybody else ever have an issue with shop installs?
Will update with results.

Sometimes when you start into the job, you discover that the location you originally decided on is a 'no go' for one reason or another. If that was the case here, that would have been a great time for the shop to CALL, and explain the situation and at the very least allow you the opportunity to accept the new location or nix the project.

I am very particular about my truck, and would be livid if someone did this to my truck. If this new location is unacceptable, I would go after them to have the headliner replaced, and to either have the unit installed in an acceptable place, or not installed at all.

Go git em!

My bet is they all agreed on this location, but the OP didn't think it would interfere with anything until his wife got in and hit her head.

I feel the same way Brad12KX said. I dont use the middle seat that often, but they did not do the job they were paid to do. Whats wrong with people today? no more customer satisfaction? Is it lets screw up a job that you wanted done 1 way and give you another and when you ask them to fix it, they give you a whole bunch of bullcrap answers, or somebody tries to justify it by saying you dont use the middle seat that often, implying i can live with it. HELL NO. I dont care if i never use the middle seat. Its plain and simple, i ask and paid for you to do a job so do it and do it rite, and if you screw up, fix it!! The shop owner sat in my truck and marked where i wanted it to go. Not my fault he did not inform the installer.
I went there today and the installer said, oh i thought the tape was where you wanted the unit. Hey jack ass the tape was not even in the middle, it was two inches behind the passengers headrest, so if you did what you "thought" the tape was there for, you would have mounted the unit over the headrest! Just "man" up and say you messed up and will fix it.
Going to drop it off monday morning to see if they can move it back 8", which i highly doubt is possible without showing the hole that was cut.
