that is the cleanest job that i have seen of sealing the gasket to date
you should drop off some donuts sometime

as to the question Mac_hemi asked
yes, at least 1 member had their axle snap off, luckily it happened when they were leaving a parking lot & driving slowly
those axle bearings need lubrication

I checked my vin and got the same recall,I just called today and was told the new rear bumper would be in in and around end of the month.I hope this is not the start of a recall ridden trend.

Called my local dealer as well to order the rear diff parts necessary to take care of the fluid back flow issue. Better off taking care of the problem while under warranty than to roll the dice and hope for the best!

Finally had my K36 recall done today. My local dealer did not have the sealant for the last 3 months.

They also performed the Recall F-04 and PCM flush for both door modules.

Default Drain Back re-call

I had it done also, Its not that big of deal. Under certain driving conditions
the lubrication could drain away from the pinon gear and cause damage or possible lock-up. This is going to be driving on steep grades for a period of time. If you are on reasonable flat surfaces you shouldn't have an issue. By all means you want to have it fixed but you do'n have to worry that its gooing to lock-up on your way to work.

Regards
Steemer

Welcome to the forum!

Glad you got your truck fixed, but digging up month old threads like this is kinda against the rules around here. We have a section for TSBs & recalls as well. (im not trying to sound like an ass, a few of the mods/people can be real stickers for the )

Stop by the newbie section and introduce yourself and show us a few pictures of your truck!
