Default Turbo Question

One day Id love to turbo my 06 reg cab shortbed just because Id think it would be cool. Ive found everything on ebay to do it but i dont see ant turbo manifolds, do I i have to have one made, if so what side? Also would like to know how many psi I can have with hurting the motor. Im sure someone has done this and will have some answers, thanks!

Putting a single turbo on a V8 is gonna take a bit of exhaust routing which is why you don't really see manifolds for your motor unless your going with twin turbos.
On a stock motor you could probably be ok with 6-8lbs of boost tops

The best thing to do is a remote kit. It mounts under the bed and is pretty simple to install. Check this link out for an idea of how the work

Easiest but you'll have a fair bit of turbo lag with it that far back

It's not as bad as you would think, the kits use pretty small turbos

I used to race boosted cars and IMO I wouldn't touch these. I mean I wouldn't want to put a turbo on my truck to get Performance Sound!!! Wow if I want to do that then I would buy a $100 muffler!

All of the parts are knock off's of the real thing. And using the cheap hose clamps instead of T-bar clamps??? That must only boost like 5 lbs tops at maybe 200cfm.

Just my .02.
