So far I love it, I havent been on a long trip yet but I could already tell just from driving around town that the noise in the cabin is not annoying at all. In fact its perfect, my wife even likes it.

I am in Suffolk. The video clips sound the same to me too. Thats why I am thinking if I hear the 18 it might help. I would love to hear a side by side but don't know anyone with a 14.

As another old guy, I agree with Ray & GTYankee here....the 18" is just right. Not obtrusive in the cab while cruising but you can definitely hear it when you get on it a bit. I love the sound at WOT!

D'OH!!! ...I just paid $266 for mine!

I'm hoping I can do the swap myself, but it's already pretty rusty under there, and the bolts holding the exhaust together look like a PITA to even reach..... may have to break down and pay a pro, which will doubley suck since I plan to paint my exhaust tips black, and that will be a bit of a hastle to work around the install guys to do that.

Thanks for the info though!

Greg
I just installed the 14" Magnaflow I'm real happy with the deep sound. Also it sounds real good is not to looud. I have a crew cab, I paid $175.00 weld-installed in a local muffler shop.

The muffler shop(meinke) were i got mine ordered the muffler for me.They are an authorized magnaflow dealer and charged me there price. The muffler online was about 145 so the 180 I paid with tax and shipping sounded right on the money. Plus the 140 I paid to have it installed I thought was fair since the made sure my tail pipes were nice and even and let me hang out in the shop when they did the welding. No leakes and nice and solid plus they guranteed me to come back if I had any problems in the future. On a side note I had my wife do a couple drive by's for me and I will tell you this, hearing it from the outside is night and day from in the cab. The 18 sounds sweet exspecially after a few days of breaking in. Not an old man but no teenager either. 18 adds some nice beefiness where you can tell its not stock but still keeps the class of the truck. IMO

Did you get the polished muffler or the satin finish?
