Default Curt Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch

I'm looking at getting a trailer hitch for my 2010 truck. The one thing that is throwing me off right now is the way the two options are worded on the following site, http://www.realtruck.com/curt-2-25-h...010Y693MA.html. Can somebody tell me the difference between "w/o OEM Hitch - No Drill Install" and "Will Not Fit w/ Factory Receiver - No Drill Install". The truck looks like it has the receiver for a bumper mounted hitch, but I don't want that. I'm looking to tow a boat trailer, car trailer, things like that. Thanks for the help.

Default hitch

The oem is bolted on so I would go with one like this, do not weld one on, not good in this time frame. Seems like they are saying that it won't fit if a oem is already there ??????

For the next person looking at this. The hole in the bumper for a ball to be mounted IS NOT a receiver. A receiver is the 2" square hole under the bumper that you insert a square tube ball mount into. The statement "without OEM receiver" means it will not fit if you already have a 2" receiver under your bumper. Also, this hitch http://www.amazon.com/Curt-Manufactu.../dp/B002GO784Y works perfect unless you NEED a class IV hitch. It mounts to a frame rail so it is plenty strong enough. A class IV hitch exceeds the towing capacity of a Ram 1500.

Not necessarily. A class IV can have a "weight carrying" rating of anywhere from 5,001 to 10,000 lb. 7,500 lb "weight carrying" and 10,000 lb "weight distributing" models are pretty common.

A 2010 RAM 1500 can be rated to 10,450 lb.
