Thumbs up Flowmaster 40 installed

I had a Flowmaster 40 SIDO installed this weekend. All I can say is WOW !!!! This is how a Hemi should sound. Absolutely love the sound, at all stages of throttle and at idle!!

Glad to know there is a HEMI out there that is again screaming to the glory of it's heritage; muscle power!

I know the life will be limited. I got about 3 years when I had the same set-up on my old Ford. I will try to grab a video tonight.

I had installed a Mufflex 14 weekend before last. I couldn't stand the sound, or there lack of...it was too quiet and monotone. I was at the point that I was contemplating putting the stock muffler back on as a result. I was hesitant because the flowmaster isn't stainless. But, I do love the way they sound. So, in three years I'll replace it when it needs it. In the meantime, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the sweet sound!

Awesome. I've ordered a 44 series SI/DO that is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Should have it installed Thursday or Friday.

Did you keep the stock tips and resonators? How is the drone?

I had single exhaust out the side originally. It's now single in / dual out the back bumper. No resonator left. There isn't drone, just the rumble. I do keep the ECO mode off unless I'm on the highway. With the Magnaflow I had drone, none with the flowmaster. I don't know how a 44 sounds, but I would imagine it's pretty close to the 40 series. I actually take the back roads instead of the highway to work now just so I can hear it at various RPM's, lol....

glad you like it... flows have a distinctive sound...and that's it.. after a year of running a flow 50 I've had enough of how the sound breaks up at higher rpms, plus the performance hit i never realized until I switched to mags..
