Default so many choices

There are so many options when buying a programmer.I can't decide between sct superchip and diablo.one thing I like about them is the fact I can clear trouble codes(cat problems lol) my concern w diablo is I see where alot of people have had problems w them, yet many praise them?I'm confused by that haha.

But anyways, does anyone have or heard reports of good hp,torque, and throttle response gains with any of these?I am looking to buy in the near future but just can't make up my mind

Good luck in choosing, I see more happy predator owners than dissatisfied owners. Take a quick look at the assorted sale site, Craigs List or eBay, and you won't find too many used predators out there. That speaks to me.

I think the problems folks have with the Predator is that they don't spend time reading up on them before they try to load them or modify a tune.

Also it is quite common for them to need an update before you install them on a vehicle and this does not indicate a problem with the tool. It just needs the update to be compatible with your generation / series PCM. A lot of people complain about this or seem put off by this but DS can't build or code the tool for every series of PCM. Also, some tools were built before your truck was and have sat in inventory for a while as the standard programming in the PCM's has evolved. The update takes 3 - 5 minutes max and is easy to do.

I like the Predator...a LOT! It is a very flexible tuning tool with proven results. I've had to learn how to use them, how to update them, how to tweak parameters, etc...I find that they require a step process to load and modify a tune, and you better follow that step process or you'll have a big problem with the tool and your vehicle's PCM. Guess how I know...
