Angry 2000 Ram 1500 4x4 5.2 Trans Re-built but still have problems

Hi All,
Here is my problem....I had my transmission rebuilt and after two weeks i got it back. It is in the shop again!!! They rebuilt the whole transmission however now it takes off in second, they have changed the solenoids and are now in the process of changing the valve body. The thing is, is that when they would clear the codes for the solenoids the truck would work fine for a couple of hours and then back to taking off in second. This work is under warranty, but what a pain in the ass. I've driven the truck for a total of two hours in the last three weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be a bad solenoid and governor. If they replace the valve body they will end up replacing the solenoid and governor. If they do it properly and it still just takes off look into another repair place and possibly have the ECM checked at a reputable Dodge Dealership. If it does end up needing a new ECM, DO NOT GET IT FROM THE DEALER unless under warranty. A replacement ECM from a dealer not under warranty would cost hundreds of bucks, go on ebay instead you can pick one up for 50-150 bucks be sure the module number on the ECM you buy matches the ECM you have.

Sounds like the transmission is being forced into a failsafe mode if it will operate normally for a while after codes are cleared as you state and then loose 1st gear after a short time. The code that is being stored may be the clue to what problem is. What code is being stored??
