Good question im thinking maybe its a rpm range were truck either might shift to low from 2-3 or to high up in 2 to 3. Might be wrong on that. On the dealers or manufacturers site there should be some info on that.

The overlap is weird to explain. It's like the transmission engages the gear before its shifted to make it feel as smooth as possible. That will eliminate that and make it so it "jerks" into gear. I'm not sure if this mod will do to much, however, A few people I know with chevy trucks use corvette servos.
