Default blending motor

I have a 99 dodge ram with a climate control problem. I think that my air blend motor is faulty. I get a mixture of hot air with airconditioning and cold air when I need heat. The damper motor moves, but I dont know how far the travel is suppose to be.

Hi and a warm Carolina welcome to the best RAM ForumZ on the web. How about posting a few photos of your truck? I don't have an answer for you but someone will. How about using the link in my SIG to jump over to the Newbie Checkin and join us for a real introduction?

That certainly sounds like a blend door problem. It's not a matter of how far it travels, it's a matter of it swinging fully within a pre-determined arc to open and close off different sides of the plenum.
