Exclamation Stumbled onto a performance gain.

So I was changing out my transmission shift cable from my colum to tranny. While pluging in the cable to the tranny I noticed an exposed wire that seemed to connect to a sensor of some sort to the tranny along with 4 other wires all on one plug. I unpluged it n noticed oil was inside the conections (red flag) so I cleaned both ends and inserted the loose wire back into the clip not thinking much bout it. So when I test drove it WoW that mutha kicked alot harder on take off than before. Now im thinking thats the way its supost to perform normally... its just that I was being robbed of power this whole time hehe. Any idea what that sensor might be?
Also whats up with the oil inside the connection! Ima try to do a little preventive maintenance.

Hmm, I don't know what that could be. I'm sure someone here knows. It's good you got some more jump out of it though!

It was the Transmission neutral switch. It prevents the truck from turning on if it isnt in park or neutral. Nothing to do with performance. It must of been the spring I tightened up that hooks to the kickdown cable then. That makes alot more sense. Sorry guys..

It just has more power when taking off from a dead stop and seems to shift alot firmer thats really just it.
