Default Flex Fan?

Hello,

I have read many threads regarding the e-fan swap. What are the thoughts on the old school Flex Fans? Would my 07 Hemi benefit at all if I took out the stock fan and clutch and replaced that with a flex fan directly on the pulley without a clutch?

It might run a bit cooler but it will probably be noisier. I'd do the thermostat change to a 180 degree unit.

I will probably just do the t-stat swap and be done with this portion of my mods.. Until I can get the Flexalite fan later down the road..

The T-Stat is definitely the way to go. I have now never seen my truck even hit 190 since the T-Stat opens at about 187 degrees. The truck stays much cooler and I am sure it is good for the engine.
