Default Ram Box Option

The top of the Ram Box lid is plastic and the passenger side has a ripple or bulge where its not flat anymore. looks bad.

Any other Ram Box owners having these issues?

You got any photos of the problem? I'd probably go to the dealer and ask for assistance with the problem.

It might have something to do with water getting in there. A guy down the street from me has the rambox and he said he was getting water in his.

i just checked out another forum & saw this

Ram Box Warpage

Just got my Ram-Box doors replaced free of charge due to a TSB (or whatever Dodge is calling them these days) due to warpage. Just want to make sure others are aware that this is out there.

another person typed
I saw two trucks at the dealership with warpage on the rambox plastic, I asked the salesman what happened and he said it was from someone trying to pry it open from the other side. I should of had known better, it is scary for me to see that it is more common than I suspected.

3rd person, a parts guy typed
This issue is covered by a "rapid response transmittal" to dodge dealers. The box lids have to be inspected for warpage and replaced if warped. The heat causes the black plastic lids to expand because air has no means of escape..

Hey nice find I appreciate it. I am having a hard time with the dealer that sold me the truck, I'm going to have to crank it up a notch to get some service.

unless I have really small items in there I leave my drain plugs open. I also had the driver side panel replaced a couple of months ago.

IMHO I think the warpage happens while they sit on the dealer lots. They aren't getting much use (i.e. opened) to let the hot summer air escape. A truck might sit there for a month plus without someone ever opening the rambox.
