Default lift question ( 05 ram )

I would like to clear 37's on my 05, ( just like everyone else, lol ) now can i do that with just a 6" lift kit? ive seen some do it and ive seen some where it looks like 35" are the max, the rims i will be running are AX184 Justice with a Back Space of 5.47 and a Offset of 12.

A 6 inch might work, but you're more than likely gonna have a lot of rubbing. If you can, try a 6 inch lift and maybe a 3 inch body lift. That way you'll clear them and look nice, without rubbing. I run 38's on my truck right now, and before that I had a set of 37s and I had was a 5.5 inch suspension and torsion bars that were cranked up so it sat about about 7.5 inches. I also had 2.5 inch add a leafs and the 37's fit perfect without rubbing. Hope this helps!

I'm new to this whole forum, so I'm not sure if you can see my pics. But I'll put up a pic of my truck when I had it on 37's

With an offset of 12 you will probably have to get wheel spacers to get them to fit. What size are you thinking? 37x13?

I would try to steer clear of body lifts, they ride way too rough, especially offroad.

Body lifts do ride rough. I have a 3 inch in mine, but it's really not terrible. Could be smoother, but it's not that bad with the right suspension I guess. lol

Body lift don't have anything do with with how your truck rides, all it does is lift the body, it doesnt do anything to the susp. my friend has a 02 with a 3" BL and it rides just as like mine. well his is a little rougher but he also has like a 12" susp lift on it.
