Question Exhaust advice

So, I am just not happy with the current setup I am running. Its stock manifolds and CAT and then a flowmaster 40 delta flow piped out the side. I want more power and sound. Should I run catless being that I'm in Oklahoma where emissions dont matter? What midpipe does the Ram use? Is it a Y pipe? I know on my Mustang, I converted to an Offroad Xpipe and resonator exhaust which made a world of difference in sound and performance! I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I'd replace the mid pipe/Y pipe as they are traditionally kinda bent and squished. How about a true dual system with an X pipe in between the pipes ahead of the muffler.

I can't advise on removing the cats except that without them, you'll get a code. I'd run high flow cats (Magnaflow makes some good ones), shorty headers (JBA, Summit, Thorley, etc...), Cherry Bomb mufflers and either turn them down behind the diff axle tubes, turn them down at the corners behind the bumper or run them straight out the back. One other possibility is to dump them right out in front of the rear wheels.

Good luck!!!

Hmm, I could be wrong, but I thought you couldnt fit an X pipe on a 4wd. Do they make an alternative to the Y pipe? You know kind of how you can run either a H pipe or an X pipe on a mustang.

Cherry bombs huh? Yea I like piping them out the sides behind the rear wheels. What other catbacks are you guys running?

depending on how he wants it ran....the exhaust shop can make a custom X that doesn't require much room to put in...I've seen true duals ran side by side with a 8" X pipe halfway down and both pipes dumped out in front of the back passenger tire....very old pic...but you can see them

Unfortunately I couldnt see the picture but that sounds pretty sweet. I'm thinking I may just go with hi-flow cats some straight-through catback.
