Default Auxiliary Fuel Tank Question

I am looking to hook up an auxiliary fuel tank without voiding my warranty to my 2014 Ram 2500 diesel. I don't like cutting into the filler tube like most tank venders want you to do. I would like to tap in right into the top of the tank if there is an access point. I know they had one on my 2001 Ram but does anyone know if it is possible on the 2014 model.

In California the Emissions Laws do or did allow the auxiliary diesel tank to be directly connected to main diesel tank
I have a gasoline motor & i can't connect the 2 tanks directly

Your State may be different

Check out the Transfer Flow website & there are other brands

Good Luck

Default transfer tank

I've used this kit #3490901 from Northern on 2 different Dodges with a toolbox like #72744 transfer tank with zero issues. Cutting the 2004 while under warranty was no issue. The 08 I have now was never under a warranty. The actual box I have doesn't look like it is available anymore. The toolbox tank combo I have has 50 gallons of fuel that I have plumbed directly into the tank fill and vent with an automotive fuel pump to transfer fuel as needed. I use a 2 or 5 micron fuel filter after the pump ,wired into a dash switch, before it enters the main tank. I like the set up and when fully loaded I never stop for fuel on the road unless it is a great deal. Good luck in the hunt. I can tell you that I rest easy knowing when I leave the house that I have 85 gallons onboard and ready to travel. All my friend have to stop to fuel and all I do is hit a switch and I and good to go.
