Default Couple exhaust questions?

How long on average does it take to install new headers?
My truck is from california so it has 3 cats on it, 2 of them are on the y pipe and the other is in the normal place, could i just get a new y pip made to eliminate those 2 cats and just get a high flow cat put in where the other one is? i hope that makes sense

thanks in advance for the help

As strict as the CA emissions laws are I'd probably leave the CATs or at least get new HiPref versions along with the headers.

I believe you have two sensors before and after the pre-cats. I think if you eliminate those two pre-cats you might throw a code. Now the main cat you can eliminate without throwing a code cuz theres no sensors after it. But if your gona smog it you might wana hold on to it incase you gotta throw it back on. Thats what I did.

Anymore opinions on this? I would really like to order the magnaflow replacement y pipe with the one high flow cat on it, but i just dont want to throw a code and still also pass smog?

I'm not really sure how strict the laws are out there but I will tell you that I am running high flow cats and they throw codes for cat efficiency. So if they do a sniffer test out there you probably won't pass running a high flow.
