Default Help!

I actually need two things, first does anyone have a link for a service manual 97 1500 5.9 4wd, and second I'm trying to replace my steering stabilizer, does anyone have a technique other than beating it into submission for removal?

Any help would be great!! Thanks

I couldn't find one online that I could download for my '99 but I did find it on eBay, on a CD in .pdf format, for about $10.

My '99 manual does not show a steering stabilizer so I wonder if it was added as an aftermarket part.

Or are you referring to the stock stabilizer bar that extends across the front underside of the chassis and connects to the frame rails?

Yeah, theres a stabilizer shock attached to the stabilizer bar on mine, I'm pretty sure its stock. Supposedly, it picks up the slack from the steering box, a pretty common problem if what I've been reading is correct.

I'll check out ebay and see what they have too.

Thanks

this is for a drag link, not a stabilizer bar, but, it may help
this is for a different year & model than yours, but, most of them use the same basic removal method
