Default Jet Performance PCMs

Are these a ripoff? It seems almost like a programmer except that it's only got one tune loaded, am I right? Also, if I decide to put one of these in, will it conflict with a programmer?

Just hoping to get an idea of which is a better choice. P.S. sorry I haven't posted any pics of the truck; I'm trying to get the windshield replaced before snapping a whole bunch of photos. After that though, I should be doing intake and exhaust in the near future!

Thanks for the confirmation. Which programmer should I go with if I know thatmy ultimate end is an upgraded cam, possibly heads and headers on the exhaust side (but the SERIOUS engine work isn't coming for a year at the earliest)? For now I'm sticking to a CAI, exhaust, programmer, and 180 tstat.

They are about as good as a throttle body spacer.. Junk. If you're looking at upgrades like you listed in the future I would look into the predator. From what I've read they give you more tuning parameters and have more flexibility with the tunes.

Diablosport Predator u7137 is what you need. Got one on mine and really helps, especially after you do the CAI and Exhaust...

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. I have an unnamed exhaust (cat back) on there already, so CAI should be next followed by (Predator or Superchips) programmer. Then, once I owe a little less on it, start really sexy-ing up the engine. Ideally I would like to get it up around 375 whp and 400 or so wtq. I just need to see if I can get it averaging 17 mpgs or so. Right now, I'm sitting around 14 city and 17 highway. That's a lot of 35 gallon tanks a year...
