Default Trouble shooting possible fan clutch issue?

Ive been chasing a squeak for a few months under the hood it used to only when I got some water tossed at the truck itd squeak then go away a few minutes later I assumed it to be my fan clutch b/c the fan blade seemed to be to loose. But upon further investiagtion I noticed that my fan seemed to be running w/ the rpms properly so I thought it to be a belt issue seems to be tight enough and I assume that the mechanics put it back on correctly when I got the new engine put in a week ago so I put some belt dressing on correctly and it only made the squeal deafening and squealing whenever the truck is running the noise goes w/ the rpms. Could it just be a loud fan clutch it almost sounds like a bearing but im not sure where to start before I start throwing parts at it any ideas or tips guys thanks in advance. Im a little stumped

If your fan runs off a serpentine belt it could most likely be the fan clutch, Look at the serpentine belt for any cracks CHECK THE INSIDE of the belt too. One way to find where the noise is coming from you can use WD-40 and spray it on the bearings of the pulleys until you spray it on the one that stops making noise. Sometimes though a bad serpentine belt can be the cause of a squeek even though the belt looks good. Best bet is to take a socket wrench and loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the belt to really check it.

I don't really have any input just wanted to say belt dressing is really bad stuff, it will destroy your belt fast. Don't use it anymore, I'd try to clean what you put on off also.

Well I picked up a new belt today anyway Im pretty sure its the fan clutch b/c of how loose the blade is on the shaft but the belt looked a little more worn than I like so its getting changed this week anyway but thanks
