Default Looking to Chip. Which one?

Sorry to who already answered this for me somewhere else that I cant find. But I'm looking to chip the truck and want to know what the best out of all the products out there is! Also, does chipping mean you have to use a higher grade gas because today I dropped $80 freaking bucks in her!

Thanks, RedRam, that's really helpful! I always had to go back and try to remember where I posted. So one for Diablo, anybody else have chip suggestions?

They don't make a diablo for out generation truck.

Superchips or SCT tuned by Hemifever are gonna be your best bet.

I have the Superchips 3715, its an older model but the newer version don't do anything different. I am getting 12.5 on the performance tune. I run the 91 octane gas for it too. I have the 4:10 rear end so that eats alot of my mileage. This programmer is best with the basic bolt on mods and they are canned tunes (basic across the board)

With the SCT he tunes it to your truck and what mods you have. If you change things he can change the tune for you (of course for a fee). If you are planning on alot of internal mods I would go with SCT.

He ^^^^ is correct. There is no Predator programmer for that generation / engined truck.

SuperChips, Hypertech, B&G (not a tuner, is a custom program for your PCM - you ship it to them) are all good options.

i dont have a chip but often run higher octane fuels when pulling loads or at sled pulls and if u do the match its only a few dollars more per tank where i live premium is 30cents more than 83 octane at 30 gallons thats only 9 bucks.

The 4.10s must be killing my mileage too then.

Before my superships running with the 89 octane and also the 91, I would get a consistant 10mpgs. Now on the performance tune and running 91 I am at 12.5.

Butt dyno says there was a pretty good gain, and I feel it shifts better, even in the mileage tune. Once I start camping I will know the towing tune too, my starting point there is about 7.

Wow, but dont you pretty much end up paying about the same running 91?

I just cant understand why the 360 gets such bad mileage. Anybody get anything better consistently? I cant even really afford to go home for lunch anymore, and I live less than 10 miles from my army post!
