Hughes is a complete setup for the engine. Personally I believe in simplicity so Hughes is the way I’m going due to a complete setup and how professional the staff is there. Cost is always the bottom line for everyone and saving a couple of bills are worth doing more research other then Summit.
OBD II did away with EGR in 1996. The Hughes MPI intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake for carburetor. These intakes have bosses in the runners for nitrous oxide injectors. They're ideally placed, so Hughes uses them for the Magnum fuel injectors. Some of the work they did involved placement of the injectors for best power, as depth and angle of the injector tips can change the numbers a bit. A wet manifold is gonna flow dry air that much better when, though optimized to avoid fuel dropout, it's only flowing air. It's a great adaptation of the manifold. The cost, while steep, isn't unjustified. You're buying what is basically a low numbers run, customized intake. There's machining involved, and extra parts. I haven't been able to get one, but I want it. Hats off to Hughes for doing this.
