Default Lamp Out - Not Normal

I'm presuming I've got a light about ready to brown out but I thought I would bounce this off you guys as I'm sure you've almost heard it all.

Hopped in the truck this morning and fired her up. Lamp out light came on and chimed. Jumped out and checked the bulbs. Passenger side is out. I jump in the cab and hit the high beams and the headlight thats out turns on and the drivers side turns off. Same deal when I hit the fog lamps.

All lights work but I though it was odd it would flip from headlight to headlight.

Got on the highway to head home. The signal light is flashing in the cab twice the normal speed and no signals from the front or back (minus my topper which is tied into the light system at the back.

Any idea before I rip out all the bulbs?

Appreciate any info you can provide.

Nothing? Update today. All bulbs are good. Relays are fine, fuses are fine. I have my passenger side rear signal working and passenger side brake light working. Signal still flashing at double the normal speed. No other signals work, still have the main hedlight problem. Can anyone provide some insight?

I'd guess a ground issue. Not very good with electronics though...

starting to think it's the FCM. Grounds all seem fine. electrical is running through the entire system (checked the trailer harnesses with a led switch). the only lighting harness showing electrical issues is the drivers rear BUT we can flip the light bar to a different harness and its fine (or provide A seperate power source and it's fine (the so called bad harness has no wiring problems, we've checked). still have all lighting issues mentioned in above post. I'm loosing it!

Now I am loosing my mind. This is what I've found on other forums. I know I'm down to a new FCM or PDC. I really need to pinpoint what the issue is before I drop some serious cash. I'm hoping someone else has had similar problems.

A little more back story over the past few months the wiper will come on intermittently and just shut off.

Also 6 - 8 months ago the low washer fluid light came on. The fluid was fine. This light is still on today.

This is why I'm leaning to FCM as the below functions are controlled by them:

² Headlamp Power with Voltage Regulation
² Windshield Wiper “ON/OFF” Relay Actuation
² Windshield Wiper “HI/LO” Relay Actuation
² Windshield Washer Pump Motor
² Fog Lamp Relay Actuation
² Park Lamp Relay Actuation
² Horn Relay Actuation
The following inputs are Received/Monitored by the FCM:
² B+ Connection Detection
² Power Ground
² Ambient Temperature Sensing
² Ignition Switch Run
² Washer Fluid Level Switch
² Windshield Wiper Park Switch
² PCI Data Bus Circuit

We found some corrosion on the bottom of the PDC but have not taken it apart.

Anyone..... Buller?

What is the FCM and PDC?

My brother had some swith or something near the steering column go bad and it cause all sorts of weird issues with his lights like you are describing. Like hi beams would completely turn off lights, left turn signal operated the right side, etc. Weird stuff like that. I don't remember what it was but I think it was in the steering column or near the column in the dash, like under the gauge cluster. His is ~2007 big horn hemi 4wd.

FCM (Front Control Module) and PDC (Power Distribution Center) or better known as the fuse box.

Just for kicks I would start pulling every bulb and wire connection i can to clean and Dielectric grease. May not come close to solving your problem but it's cheap to try. I had electrical issues with my boat and bike and that solved it both times.

The PDC was disassembled today. Many points were corroded green. Board was cleaned, terminals cleaned up and electrolytic paste is now covering all terminals and the board. I'm at work and left the remainder of the reassembly to my guy who is slaving away under the hood. Should have an update later this evening. I'll let you know how it goes

Running lights are now out. Fcm looks to be good upon inspection and pdc is cleaned up as best as possible. Will be touring the scrap yards, kijiji, and side roads for test/replacement parts. Hoping someone can point me in a different direction I haven't tried. Does anyone have any additional insight......
