Default Trans Flush 07ram1500

Hey I was looking for some help. I have a dodge ram 1500 I just purchased a month back. I was wondering if it would be safe to do a trans flush, as I don't know if it has ever had one? Is there any other maintenance I should perform on it also?

The truck is a 07 ram 1500 with 55k on it.

Thanks for the help in advance!

There are a couple different schools of thought here. My mechanic told me since I didn't know if mine had ever been flushed or changed that he would recommend dropping the pan the first time and changing the filters and of course replacing the lost fluid which is only about half. His reasoning was that you can take a look at things while you have the pan off and make sure you don't see anything out of the ordinary before flushing it. He is a certified Dodge tech and I trust his advice. However, I would tend to say no more miles than your truck has on it, if you intend to have a flush done now would be a good time. So yeah, I think you will be fine with a flush.
